“Abdul joins the team on a loan deal and Likontsane has penned a three-year-agreement,” read a statement on the club’s official website. “The two internationals are expected to join their team-mates in Bloemfontein tomorrow. Fiston, who plays for the Burundi national team, has received his passport and will be eligible to feature for his new side, should the technical team decide to use him.”
Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco has welcomed the two strikers.
“The new players will lift the pressure off our strikers and we trust that they will do the job at hand. As a club, we welcome them and thank their respective teams on how they handled the negotiations.
“We play an enterprising game but we have been unlucky in front of goals. Should the players be available for selection, they will need to hit the ground running.”
Celtic will take on Bidvest Wits at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Sunday at 3.30pm
