SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund has added his voice to the   call for Absa Premier League games to be played in the evening.

Igesund spoke about the danger of footballers playing midday game during the current heatwave when he was interview with SABC radio.

Igesund’s Bidvest Wits counterpart, Gavin Hunt is another PSL coach who has strong views regarding the league scheduling midday games in summer.

“The league should consider a later kick off if possible, sometimes these thing are inevitable but you have to make sure the players safety is our first concern. I think we need to be a lot more responsible we have warning over the radio to stay in the shade, it’s unbelievable that every five minutes the players have water,” said Igesund.
