Khune to undergo knee surgery

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will undergo surgery on Friday after re-injuring his knee while training with Amakhosi.

Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner confirmed the news on the club’s website.

“Itumeleng Khune re-injured his knee during training last week,” said Milner. The surgery will correct a torn meniscus.

Khune had to withdraw from the Bafana Bafana squad to face Angola in a 2018 World Cup qualification match in Benguela on Friday, with the return leg on Tuesday in Durban.
