De Sa – It is a good feeling

Roger De Sa was full of praise for his Ajax Cape Town side, after they stunned Kaizer Chiefs to lift the MTN8 title in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

A dominant display saw the Urban Warriors beat Amakhosi 1-0, courtesy of a 56th minute penalty from Nathan Paulse.

“I thought we played really well today,” said De Sa.

“We controlled the game. We were a bit unfortunate not to go into half time 1-0 up, I thouggt we dominated. They were a bit stronger in the second half but we were still pretty good – we didn’t let them play. We could have improved on a few things but I couldn’t ask for too much more. It is a good feeling when you play well and win.”

De Sa did, however, call on his players to stay grounded, with an important league game at Sundowns coming up on Wednesday.

“I told them it doesn’t matter what happens today, tomorrow when I get home I still have to pick up the dog poo and mow the lawn,” said De Sa.

“This win is important for us but we must keep our feet on the ground and keep going.”
