Khune reportedly signs new Chiefs contract

Unconfirmed reports say Itumeleng Khune will play for Kaizer Chiefs during the 2015/16 Premiership season after signing a new contract with Amakhosi.

According to, a source close to the Soweto giants has confirmed that all matters at hand have been resolved and that Khune will be back with Chiefs.

Khune was due to meet the Chiefs management on Tuesday, however, that meeting failed to take place.

Chiefs’ corporate communications manager Vina Maphosa told Phakaaathi that the meeting didn’t take place because some people, who were to form part of the talks were not available.

Now, according to reports, Khune and Chiefs have met and the Bafana Bafana star has signed a new contract with the club.

Earlier today Khune raised a lot of speculation when he posted a picture of himself in a suit on Instagram, with the caption saying: “Be walking in a Boadroom like this, please wish me luck good people. I hope all goes well.”
