AmaTuks coach Sammy Troughton is pleased with the signing of Kabelo Lichaba. The former Polokwane City defender was revealed recently by the Tshwane club.

“The twenty-nine year old left back joins his defensive partner at the former club Vukile Mngcibisa, whose services were secured during the January transfer window,” read a statement on the University of Pretoria side’s website.

Troughton felt the player would fit in well at the club.

“So far we like what we see. He is a strong and tall player and he is holding his own. We tried to sign him two years ago when he was still playing in the NFD, but were beaten to his signature, so we are happy to finally have him in our ranks.

“We have some friendlies lined up so we will then get a better idea of his play. Keep in mind that he might used to a style of play which is different from what we might want from him but we will give him a bit of time to adjust.”
