Orlando Pirates will fly out to Pointe Noire on Thursday ahead of the Caf Confederation Cup against AC Leopards on the weekend.

That will be just the first leg of the journey for the Soweto side, as they will then travel by bus to Dolisie which should take a further four hours on a poor road. The Buccaneers will then only return to Johannesburg on Monday.

Pirates will be boosted by being able to add a further five players to their squad for the match. As Pirates had less than 30 players registered in January , upon reaching the group stages of the competition they will be allowed to add the extra man-power.

It means any of Tshepo Gumede, Menzi Masuku, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Mpho Mvelase, Maselaelo Seanego, Mwape Musonda and new signing Gift Motupa could make up the five names.

The Buccaneers will next welcome Zamalek on July 11 and then move to Tunisia to play CS Sfaxien on July 25, who they will then host at Orlando on August 8.
