AmaZulu will play all their remaining league matches as if they are cup finals.

This is according to coach Steve Barker, who has vowed to do everything in his might to save the club from being relegated.

AmaZulu are currently at the foot of the Absa Premiership with 17 points from 23 games.

On Saturday afternoon, Usuthu host Free State Stars at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Barker says this is a must win game for the Durban-based side.

“We really have no options here,” said Barker.

“We have to win all the remaining games and we start with Stars so that we can save the team from relegation.

“There preparations have gone well and all we need to do now is to go to and battle it on the pitch.

“The players are showing a lot of positivity and we hope we can translate this into points.”

Usuthu have not a lost a game in their last four matches, a sign that the club’s fortunes might be finally turning.

The last time these two sides met the game ended with a goalless draw, but that was when Craig Rosslee was still in charge of AmaZulu.

Rosslee is now tasked with the difficult job of securing Moroka Swallows their top flight status for next season.

“We must not get ahead of ourselves,” added Barker, “as much as we need to be careful defensively, we will also plan game-by-game when we use a different tactic to win matches.

“But we are ready to fight and we will start with Stars first.”

Kick-off is at 15:00
