Following their group stage exit in the 2015 Afcon, Bafana Bafana have dropped down four places to 56th in the latest Fifa rankings.

Bafana could only manage to earn one point in their three Group C matches, after losing to Algeria and Ghana and holding Senegal to a 0-0 draw.

South Africa’s poor Afcon campaign   has also seen them slide down in the Caf rankings and they are now 14th in Africa.

Meanwhile, Germany and Algeria kept their place at the top of the Fifa and Caf rankings respectively.

Afcon hosts Equatorial Guinea were the biggest movers, moving up 69 places to 49 in the Fifa rankings and 10th in Africa.
