Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is aiming to guide his team to a second successive league victory tonight when they face University of Pretoria.

The Sea Robbers beat SuperSport United 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, thanks to Sifiso Myeni’s stoppage time goal.

Mhlongo, who has taken over from slain goal-minder Senzo Meyiwa, has been jittery but is slowly finding his feet.

“We need to record consecutive wins, therefore it’s important for the team to stay level-headed and focused on training hard so that come match day, we create those chances and go for the win,” he told his club website.

Pirates are fourth on the PSL table while Tuks are 12th and lost head coach Steve Barker to AmaZulu on the weekend. Tuks did well in their final match under Barker, coming back from two goals down to beat Moroka Swallows 3-2 on Saturday.

The Sea Robbers under Vladimir Vermezovic have been blowing hot and cold but their aim tonight will be to give new Tuks coach Sammy Troughton a baptism of fire.

Troughton, meanwhile, will be looking to impress in his first match in charge of the Tshwane side.

The match at Tuks Stadium starts at 7.30pm.
