As a former Orlando Pirates coach, Roger De Sa should give his Ajax Cape Town side the inside track ahead of the clash between the teams in the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout. De Sa coached Pirates a season ago before moving to the Mother City club.

But Urban Warriors goalkeeper Brendan Peterson discounted De Sa planning against Pirates as someone who knows the ins and outs of the Soweto team.“Roger will do his normal thing and concentrate on us, not them,” Peterson said.

“We know how they play so we can make sure we prepare for that.” Ajax beat Mpumalanga Black Aces 3-0 to proceed to the quarterfinals while Pirates beat Polokwane City 2-1 on Sunday.

Ajax will travel to Orlando Stadium in two weeks’ time for the clash against the Sea Robbers. Peterson said they would stick to what the coach tells them more than anything else. “We will be coming up against them from home, but if we stick to our guns I think we’ll be fine,” he said.
