Clinton Larsen says he would like to have out-of-favour midfielder Linda Mntambo from Orlando Pirates at Chippa United next season.

Last week, Phakaaathi reported that Mntambo, Meshack Maphangule and Abel Mabaso are set to go on loan to Chippa. Now Larsen has confirmed that Chippa are indeed talking to Pirates about Mntambo’s services.

“Yes we are talking to Pirates about Mntambo,” Larsen confirmed to Isolezwe. “I think he will help us next season with the type of football he plays.”

Larsen was reluctant to confirm if whether or not Chippa are also interested in Maphangule and Mabaso.

“There are other players we want to get on loan from Pirates but I don’t wish to name them at the moment because that might jeopardise the negotiations.”

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Chippa are closing in on Zimbabwean striker Takunda Sadiki.
