Speaking to SABC Sport, Ntshumayelo revealed the struggles he went through since his ban.
“I was sitting at home doing nothing, gained weight, about 12-15 kg. I was thinking too much, I lost hope. And when my son was born I realised I made a mistake and I am paying for it now. My girlfriend encouraged me to start jogging to clear my head,” said Ntshumayelo.
“I would see people on the street while I was jogging and they would tell me they miss seeing me playing football, and I would stop and go back home to cry and sleep.”
Ntshumayelo added that people have offered to help him and his family for him to make an income.
“There is a businessman who called me after my interview on radio, he has offer to give me a bursary to study project management, and I am starting in June.”
The former Pirates man says his father is taking care of him by paying his bills.
