Tembo not gunning for SuperSport top job

SuperSport United caretaker coach Kaitano Tembo insists that he is not focusing on being appointed as Matsatsantsa head coach on a fulltime basis.

The capital city side are in the hunt for a new head coach after Eric Tinkler vacated the position in March. Tembo, who has been at the club for about two decades is not at all concentrating on impressing the powers that be to consider him for the top job.

Instead, he is more concerned on protecting the team’s top flight status as they are just a single point above 15th placed Ajax Cape Town who currently occupy the playoff spot.

“I have got a very big assignment in front of me, it is bigger than thinking of being a head coach because we are closer to the playoff spot. My thoughts are far from being the head coach. I want to make su
