Nigerian defender Jamiu Alimi is said to have arrived in South Africa last week to complete his move to SuperSport United.

According to Complete Sports, Alimi is in South Africa to sign for United.

The 25-year-old decided not to renew his contract with Kano Pillars after spending a season with the Sai Masu Gida team.

Alimi was linked to Canadian top division side, Whitecaps, but that deal didn’t materialise.
