Cercle Brugge has confirmed the signing of Kenya international Johanna Omolo.

The 27-year-old midfielder completed his move from Antwerp in the Belgian First Division B.

“Johanna Omolo has signed a contract for the next two seasons at Cercle Brugge,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“The defensive midfielder will definitely be transferred from Antwerp FC and will join Cercle today (Wednesday).”

The club’s Sports director François Vitali is confident Omolo can help Brugge gain promotion to the Belgian First Division A.

“We are very pleased that we can announce the transfer of Omolo because we absolutely wanted him,” Vitali said.

“It is a player who will be able to contribute a lot with his qualities and experience at Cercle.

“We are pleased that he is part of the Cercle family today. Welcome, Johanna.”
