Ertugral to convert Mobara into midfielder

Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral wants to play new signing Abbubaker Mobara in midfield instead of centre back.

Ertugral and Mobara worked together previously at Ajax Cape Town and the Pirates coach is excited to have reunited with the Ajax youth development star.

The Turkish-born coach says he can’t wait to play Mobara alongside Mpho Makola and Oupa Manyisa when he returns from national duty.

“Mobara is one of the players we can’t wait to have him in the team,” said Ertugral.

“He will be playing in the midfield, not in defence when he returns from the U-23’s. We will have a good combination between him, Oupa Manyisa and Mpho Makola and I think they will function very well together.”
