However, De Sa says the move will benefit the pair the financially.
“It is very sad to see the players leaving like this, but it is a good financial move for them. They will be able to make a lot of money before they retire from football,” said De Sa.
“They are both very good players but were players, they were also my friends and they made a huge impact on the team. I can only wish them the best of everything in their careers and beyond,” he said.
However, De Sa back the pair to do well at Pirates and urges them to work towards Bafana Bafana call-ups.
“They are both international players playing for the national Under-23 side and getting game time at Pirates will only open doors for them to play for the senior national team, they just have to keep working hard.
Mobara and Norodien were both instrumental in the side’s impressive run in the MTN8 tournament last season which saw the Mother City based side humiliate Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs in the final.
“Sometimes you just can’t stop players from leaving to join other teams, you have to give them wings and let them fly. So I can’t really complain about it, but that is the situation we are in and we have to deal with it,” he said.
