Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson says the club will have to pick up some lessons from newly crowned league champions Mamelodi Sundowns going into the next season.

“We have to congratulate Pitso Mosimane and his technical team for doing a good job. Sundowns has been the most consistent team in the PSL this season.

“We all strive to have that type of consistent team selection. Our season has been a little more of a lesson. We have learnt a little bit more in terms of player activities on and off the field, player’s performances on the field and in training. With those, we have more that we can take to next season,” Johnson told the club’s website.

The Dikwena head coach added that their campaign was like a rollercoaster, with some of his players not performing at their level best, while other players were on top form.

“We have had good games and bad games. We had had some loss of form. We have gone through a lot of things that a team should go through. We have gone through ups and downs as players and ups and downs with the consistency of the team, players not performing at their best and some players performing better than others.

“We have had a mixture of lot of things and we are happy that has happened. Most importantly we are happy that we have stayed in the top the whole season. That comes with a lot of consistency from the team.”
