Nigeria and Egypt played to a 1-1 draw on Friday. The Super Eagles took the lead in the second half only for Egypt to snatch a late equaliser through Mohamed Salah in the referee’s optional time.
Egypt and Nigeria are sitting in first and second place in Group G respectively – the Super Eagles have collected 5 points while the Egyptians are leading the group with seven points.
“We have to face reality, and everyone has to give more than 100 per cent because we just have to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. We have to go to Alexandria and fight with everything we have,” said the Chelsea midfielder.
