United Rovers FC coach Freddy Oliphant expects a tough game against Mpumalanga Black aces in the Nedbank Cup round of 32.

Rovers campaign in the Northern Cape SAB Regional League and are the only side to play in the Nedbank Cup from this league.

Oliphant believes drawing an Absa Premier League side in the first round could work against them as they are not on the same level as the team that plays in South Africa’s top flight league.

He believes his side will take the game to the seasoned team coached by Muhsin Ertugral.

“The draw is a little bit difficult, I was hoping to get one of the lower league teams because as you know we are the only SAB Regional League club in the draw, so it would have been better to get a team closer to our level,” Oliphant said.

“But we are not just here to make up the numbers, we have got a good team with young players. They strive to develop and the club is about giving these youngsters a platform to do so.”
