As the year comes to an end, football sometimes turns to take the back seat as supporters prioritise the festive activities.

As footballers are not machines, they too will partake in the festivities to celebrate the ending of the year. As the result of these year-end festivities, players will need to try to get back to top speed by working on their fitness like they do during the pre-season. Many believe that the season is won and lost in December for most clubs because stopping the league in the middle of the season when the team is on a roll sometimes break down the momentum of that team.
