Ajax Cape Town CEO Ari Efstathiou has congratulated and wished Granwald Scott well for his move to Slovakian side, Slovan Bratislava.

Scott had a successful training camp in Turkey with the club and impressed the European club to sign him.

“Scotty joined Ajax Cape Town academy when he was 12 years old. He signed his first professional contract at the age of 15. He’s been a loyal servant to the club for many years, so we wish him well with his journey abroad,” said the Ajax CEO.

“We are confident that he will represent Ajax Cape Town, as well as his country, with great pride. He was good enough to play in Europe from a young age but had three unsuccessful European trials after injuring himself on all three occasions. To make it in Europe at the age of 28 is clearly an indication of Scotty’s immense talent.”

The 28-year old Cape Town-born player has been with the Urban Warriors for the past 16 years and made his debut in the 2004/05 season.
