Orlando Pirates have again enquired about Ajax Cape Town defender, Abbubaker Mobara’s availability, but the Urban Warriors have again told the Buccaneers off.

Pirates have long admired Mobara and are said to have tried to convince Ajax to sell him to them but the deal never materialised because the Cape Town based team is unwilling to lose one of their star performers.

A source said Ajax coach, Roger De Sa asked the team’s management not to listen to any offers for any of his players as he needs them in his quest to move the team away from precarious 14th position it is in at the moment.

However the deal may still be struck as Pirates are said to be prepared to offer Ajax some of their players in exchange for Mobara.
