Orlando Pirates’ transfer- listed Mpho Makola may be set for a move to KwaZulu-Natal, Phakaaathi sources have claimed.

Makola is one of a number of players who were put up for sale by the Buccaneers last month, but the take up has not been as fast as would have been expected.

“Interest in him has been rather slow. I think it may be because of the salary. But I have heard there is interest in KZN. I heard that Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United have made enquiries about him to find out if he would be interested in joining them. He has worked with (Eric) Tinkler before so we will see how things turn out. A move would be good for him because he is unlikely to play at all if he remains at Pirates,” said a source.
