Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni is said to be on his way out of the club.

Ngobeni returned to Sundowns at the beginning of the season after a successful loan stint at Free State Stars, but struggled to get game time at the Brazilians this season.

The 30-year-old  failed to make a single appearance for Sundowns this season with Denis Onyango and Kennedy Mweene being selected ahead him.

Highland Park, who have reportedly released eight players at the end of the season, are said to be keen on the former Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars goalkeeper.

“He will be at Highlands Park next season, he has had enough of sitting on the bench at Sundowns,” a source told Isolezwe. “The deal is done all parties have agreed on him moving to Highlands.”
