Chippa United coach Dan Malesela is still without a contract months into the job.

Club chairman Siviwe Mpengesi is said to be stalling with Malesela’s deal due to financial reasons.

The Chilli Boys are reportedly struggling to pay players’ salaries and still have outstanding signing-on fees to pay.

Mpengesi is said to have told Malesela that the contract will be ready by the end of the season, but insiders have informed Phakaaathi that due to the club’s financial difficulties, Mpengesi was advised to not commit until the club’s financial woes are sorted out.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are reportedly interested in bringing Malesela to Parktown.

According to Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza is a fan of Malesela’s brand of football and could persuade to come to the Buccaneers.
