Pirates: Help police find Senzo’s killers

Orlando Pirates have appealed to the community at large to assist the police find the people responsible for Senzo Meyiwa death.

Today marks exactly a year since former Bucs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was killed at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Volsroorus.

“As we commemorate a year since his untimely death on that fateful night in Springs, we ask the question why and who. Why was this father of two, shot and killed and who was on the other end of that gun that killed a father, brother, and team-mate?” read a statement on the official Pirates website.

“Justice must be served! The killers of Senzo Meyiwa need to be brought to book and this will not happen until those who know the truth, come forward and inform the relevant authorities about the series of events on that fateful Sunday evening on October 26, 2014.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club would like to appeal to the community at large to assist the authorities.

“In every nook and cranny of this country there is a soccer supporter. So now we call on all of them to help us find who killed Senzo. Someone out there knows the truth, the truth must prevail… Justice must be served.”
