Papic’s City lost 4-1 to Chiefs at FNB Stadium in a PSL match which saw Chiefs stretch their lead on top of the PSL standings.

Papic said Amakhosi deserved this season’s trophy as they have been impressive throughout.

“I would like to congratulate Chiefs for winning the league,” he said.

“They deserve to be champions. They did well.”

Papic said his team planned to be party poopers but that failed as George Lebese, Bernard Parker and a Matthew Rusike brace saw them lose the game to the home side.

Rendani Ndou scored for the visiting team.

“We wanted to spoil the party but now we are enjoying the party,” he said after the match.

“We played better but if you do not score in a game you will not win.”
