Kaizer Chiefs draw Maritzburg United in TKO

Jonty Mark

Kaizer Chiefs will host Maritzburg United in the last 16 of the 2016 Telkom Knockout after the draw was conducted at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg on Thursday.

The game gives Komphela a second game of the season against his former side – Chiefs won an Absa Premiership encounter 2-0 at the Harry Gwala Stadium last month.

Orlando Pirates will welcome familiar foe Golden Arrows to Orlando Stadium, while reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns host Polokwane City.

The draw was seeded, meaning the top eight clubs in the league last season could not face each other.

MNT8 champions Bidvest Wits will travel to Free State Stars in their last 16 match.

Telkom Knockout Draw:

Cape Town City v Bloemfontein Celtic
Baroka FC v Platinum Stars
Orlando Pirates v Golden Arrows
FS Stars v Bidvest Wits
Kaizer Chiefs v Maritzburg Utd
SuperSport United v Ajax Cape Town
Mamelodi Sundowns v Polokwane City
Highlands Park v Chippa United
