Other teams who are reportedly interested in the talented left back are Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars.

A source close to Tuks told Phakaaathi that the club have been monitoring Hlanti for some time and they’re looking at signing him this month.

“University of Pretoria are interested in Sifiso Hlanti from AmaZulu. They’re having a problem at left-back and they have identified Hlanti as the man to fix it,” said the source.

Hlanti, however, could lose out on the position if Tuks could give former Free State Stars defender Tumelo Letuka a contract at the club.

Letuka, who played for Golden Arrows last season, is currently undergoing trials at Tuks, as he looks to revive his career.
