Sikhakhane preparing to take over at AmaZulu?

Former Chippa United coach, Roger Sikhakhane has been spotted at AmaZulu games recently, and one source told Phakaaathi that he has even attended some of the Durban based team’s training sessions.

Sikhakhane is tipped to take over from Steve Barker in the near future if things do not turn for the better in the NFD team. Usuthu were hoping to launch a strong campaign to return back to the PSL but things have not gone their way and talk of a coaching change is gaining momentum each day.

“Sikhakhane has been to two of AmaZulu’s last games, and although he kept his distance from the team, he was taking notes and I believe he was familiarising himself with the players and making notes of what he sees,” said a source close to Usuthu.

AmaZulu are currently seventh on the NFD log, and nine points behind leaders, Baroka FC. Phakaaathi understands that Barker has been given an ultimatum of three games in the new year to change things around or face the chop.
