Former Pirates forward set to join Maritzburg

Almost forgotten former Orlando Pirates stalwart Sifiso Myeni is believed to be set for a return to the Absa Premiership next season, with Maritzburg United likely to be his new home should they succeed in avoiding relegation.

“He is seen as the perfect replacement for Fortune Makaringe who is headed to Pirates. (Eric) Tinkler has worked with him previously and wanted him at Chippa United but there were a number of issues which blocked the move. He will now bring him to Maritzburg,” claimed a source.

Myeni has been without a club for almost two years now.
