Bafana Bafana’s super subs

Phakaaathi reporter

Deciding on the starting XI to take on Angola in the second leg of the World Cup qualifier on Tuesday evening must have been a tough task for coach Shakes Mashaba.

Mashaba named a strong squad to face Angola in the return leg. He decided to bench players that are equally fitting of a starting XI berth in his team.

Phakaaathi takes a look at players that can heighten Bafana’s performance at Moses Mabhida Stadium tonight.

 Themba Zwane

Zwane has put on a super sub performance for his club Mamelodi Sundowns this season, scoring two memorable goals after coming off the bench for the Brazilians. The midfielder is pacey and will be useful in counter attacks.

 Dino Ndlovu

The former SuperSport United striker has found a new lease on life in Cyprus scoring eight goals in seven matches. Ndlovu hasn’t been in the spotlight for Bafana Bafana so far in the qualification campaign, his inclusion in tonight’s game could be enough to see him put on a performance that will vindicate a call up for Afcon qualifiers next year in March.
