Manyisa on his way to full recovery

Phakaaathi Reporter

Orlando Pirates midfield General Oupa Manyisa is on his way to making a full recovery and could be available for selection soon.

Manyisa twisted his ankle during an Absa Premier League game against Polokwane City in September last year.

The Orlando Pirates captain missed out on the Caf Confederations Cup semifinal, and was still out on injury when his team-mates lost to Etoile du Sahel in the final of the continental competition.

Manyisa’s midfield duties have been delegated to Lehlohonolo Masalesa, with Manyisa expected to start playing in February.

“Manyisa has started running on the field and ball work has been introduced in his rehabilitation programme,” read a statement on the club’s website.
