Following an incredible 4-1 demolishing to SuperSport United last weekend, Polokwane City’s chairman Johnny Mogaladi paid the team a visit and took the whole club to dinner yesterday.

“I don’t celebrate goals, however I celebrate excellence. This past weekend the boys showed great performance all round and I would like to see this kind of mood go on for as long as this club exists,” Mogaladi said on the clubs website.

The chairman was happy with the team’s efforts thus far, especially the MDC team, who are fourth on the league table. And he went to thank everybody who is involved with the club from the players to the rest of the staff.

“I would like to start off by outlining that even though the small boys in ABC Motsepe league are not performing to their fullest potential, I’m glad that they are getting the platform to assess competition and are inducted into the world of professional football.”

“That platform for us is a place for our young players to get ready for Multichoice Diski Challenge and first team call ups,” he added.

“I am very thrilled to talk about the following team; this team has been on form since they have been participating in this particular challenge. We were so close last season that this time around I have hope that the boys will win that coveted price and travel to the Netherlands.”
