Maritzburg United manager Quinton Jettoo is hoping that Mamelodi Sundowns will accept what he termed the club’s ‘biggest offer’ for defender Kwanda Mngonyama.

Mngonyama’s future at Sundowns is in doubt as the club is yet to finalise their squad this week.

Having spent last season on loan at Maritzburg, the Team of Choice are keen to retain his services permanently.

“We have made an offer to Sundowns and we are waiting for them to come back to us. There is a possibility but it’s resting with them as the mother club,” said Jettoo.

Mngonyama’s good displays for both the Under-23 national team and Bafana Bafana during the offseason has done his potential move to Maritzburg a world of good.

“We have made an offer to them which I will not disclose right now, hopefully they accept if there is no one else and they want to get rid of the player. It is a big offer for a club like ours, probably one of the biggest deals we will pay for,” concluded Jettoo.
