According to the @NYCFCWatch, Mashamaite played alongside new City recruits Iraola and Angelino, who only played 45 minutes each.

Mashamaite is currently on a 10-day trial at New York City and if he signs, he will play alongside star players like former Barcelona striker David Villa, ex-Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and Italian legend and former Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

The 30-year-old defender is currently a free agent after leaving Chiefs at the end of last season following a breakdown in new contract talks.

He was linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, but nothing came of the reported move. Now the former Bidvest Wits defender is hoping to clinch a deal with New York City.
