Gavin Hunt has warned of the threat posed by Moroka Swallows ahead of Bidvest Wits’ Telkom Knockout clash with the Birds on Friday night.

“Moroka Swallows are a dangerous team, but we need to go to the next round,” Hunt told a media day at Wits training.

The Students will be heavy favourites for this match, especially after thumping Swallows 3-0 in the league earlier in the season.

Hunt, meanwhile, has some doubt over the fitness of veteran left-sided player Dillon Sheppard.

“Sheppard is struggling with a groin injury, but he should be ready for Friday,” said Hunt.

The Wits coach also said that Ethiopian striker Getaneh Kebede is hindered by his lack of English.

“Kebede is potentially the best striker at our club, but he is still struggling with the language barrier,” said the Wits coach.
