Erasmus is delighted to play in front of his family for Bafana Bafana in his hometown of Port Elizabeth in the Nelson Mandela Challenge.

The Cape Town City striker has not played for Bafana Bafana in over a year and his return is set to push the South African national team to victory.

“My parents don’t get to see me playing live. It is a great opportunity for my cousins, friends and aunt to see me in national colours. I’m happy that it is here,” Erasmus was quoted by IOL.

“It is not often where I get to play in my hometown. I’m looking forward to the game on Sunday and we will do our best to keep the cup home.

“The coach wants us to believe in our style and the system of play. That’s what he has been emphasising ever since we’ve gathered. He wants us to create our own identity,” Erasmus added.
