“Look, we are aware that there is some interest in Aubrey from Sundowns and other clubs for that matter and that does not surprise us because he is very talented,” Matthews was quoted by The Sowetan.

“He is one of the young guys in the team whom we believe have a very bright future and are good enough to go overseas. For us to lose him to a local club would be a big loss, but we would let him go for the right reasons.”

According to The Sowetan, Sundowns will swap Modiba with George Lebese and Lucky Mohomi plus some cash.

Lebese spent the last six months of last season on loan at United, while Mohomi struggled for game time at Sundowns this past season.
