New Baroka signing Helder Pelembe hopes for a different start at Bakgakga after struggling to impress at Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic.
The striker was without a club for the past five month, training with Africa Sport Youth Development Academy after Pirates released him following a failed loan stint at Celtic.
He was rumoured to be on Golden Arrows’ radar, but the move didn’t materialise. “I pray to God that what happened previously doesn’t happen again,” Pelembe told KickOff.com.
“Because I sit and analyse, and I don’t remember myself doing wrong or not performing where I have played in the past. But for strange reasons that I don’t know till now, I stopped playing. Definitely it is difficult to stay without work, it’s not easy for anyone, so I thank God for everything he has done for me until today.”
“[They can expect] the very same Helder. I will work hard because of the trust they are putting in me. And I want to help them reach their objectives. My targets are not far from the other players. I’m too ambitious as a human being and player. First, I want to adjust myself to Baroka, and for sure the rest will follow.”
