Dlamini, who has over 100 caps for South Africa, was not included in Desiree Ellis’ 21-woman squad for the competition, which runs from November 19 to December 3.
“Amanda Dlamini withdrew due to prior engagements that she has,” said Ellis as she announced the squad at Safa House on Tuesday.
Ellis’ squad contains two overseas-based players – goalkeeper Roxanne Barker and striker Jermaine Seoposenwe.
“Due to studies most (of the overseas-based players) were not available,” said Ellis.
Banyana have been drawn in Group A in Cameroon alongside the hosts, Zimbabwe and Egypt. Their opening match will be against Zimbabwe in Yaounde on November 19 – they also play their Southern African neighbours in a friendly on Thursday in Harare.
