A Kaizer Chiefs fan has offered to start a fund raising campaign to help the team buy some quality players.

The fan who calls himself Lettuce Mathebula tweeted Amakhosi on Tuesday morning pledging his willingness to donate for the team.

“As Kaizer Chiefs faithful supporters, we are willing to donate and raise funds for (the) team to get high profile quality players,” tweeted Mathebula.

His tweet received mixed reactions with some just laughing and others offering to also donate if such an initiative were to be launched.

Another fan who calls himself Jabulani, replied telling Mathebula to also include a quality coach to replace the unpopular Steve Komphela.

Amakhosi are under pressure again after being bundled out of the Telkom Knockout by Free State Stars on Sunday afternoon. Although Komphela’s tem have won a few games and are among the leading teams in the Absa Premiership, their displays have left a lot to be desired, prompting fans to question the quality in the squad.

The Soweto giants’ next match is against defending league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns on November 19 at Lotus Versfeld.
