The midfielder's promising career took a nosedive after parting ways with Amazayoni during the 2014/2015 season.

Former Orlando Pirates, Ajax Cape Town and Mpumalanga Black Aces central midfielder Clifford Ngobeni featured on ABC Motsepe League side Alexandra Black Aces in their 2-1 victory over neighbours Alexandra United at Edenvale Stadium on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old whose promising career took a nosedive after parting ways with Amazayoni during the 2014/2015 season has found solace at Steve Barker’s Black Aces.

Earlier this year, the midfielder was reported to be on the quest for a comeback, where he ended up training with Highlands Park, but nothing came of it.

Alex Black Aces is owned by George and Mario Morfou after purchasing the status of Tornado FC in the third tier.

The Morfou brothers previously owned Mpumalanga Black Aces before selling the club’s status to John Comitis, who has since renamed it Cape Town City.
