Stars looking to sign Zesco’s Were

Phakaaathi Reporter

Free State Stars are looking to sign Zesco United’s Jackson Jesse Were as the team look to rebuild after selling many of their stars during the transfer window.

Jackson Jesse Were and Simon Silwimba celebrate after Zesco United score a goal.

Sources have revealed that Stars management have already opened talks with Zesco over the transfer of the 27-year-old Kenyan striker.

“They have spoken to Zesco but the talks were halted as the Zambian team was busy with their Caf Champions League campaign, and now that they have been knocked out, I think they will be ready to listen to Stars’ offer,” said a source.

Were has been one of the shining stars in Zesco’s impressive run in the Champions League, and could be a good acquisition for Stars.
