Sundowns trumped Zesco 2-0 in the return leg on the semi-final clash at home in Pretoria on Saturday night to advance to the final, where the Brazilians will meet Egyptian giants Zamalek.
“It’s a most unfortunate thing that we fought to go to the final, we came prepared, but we should have won this game back home,” said Lwandamina at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
“You know, when you are playing away there are just too much of hometown decisions. We made a few mistakes and they capitalised on that.
“Plus coupled with the hometown decisions that were coming from the referee, it also affected the game. Otherwise it was a well-fought game and I congratulate Sundowns.”
