According to Molangoane was forced to return to United after a dispute with the Port Elizabeth-based club over the length of his contract. The player claimed that his contract with the Chilli Boys ended last season and he was free to leave.

The midfielder reportedly signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs pending a decision from the league to resolve the matter between United and Molangoane. The pre-contract, however, has been deemed null and void by the PSL DRC.

“He is now forced to go back to Chippa United,” chairperson Chippa Mpengesi said.

“It’s unfortunate that this matter has to go this route instead of being resolved without going to DRC. The supporters of Chippa United love Joseph Molangoane, and he’s never been chased away from the club.

“Our doors still open for him. If he wants to go we won’t stand in his way. If any team interested is signing him, we are still available to talk,” he concluded.
