All Whites coach Anthony Hudson has included Brockie in his squad for the Oceania Nations Cup.

Brockie, however, is set to miss New Zealand’s first clash of the tournament against Fiji as he is expected to link up with the squad after playing for Matsatsantsa in the Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates.

Hudson says it was not an easy decision to re-call the striker back to the squad.

“It was a difficult choice to leave him out originally and it was a hard phone call to make,” Hudson told Stuff.co.nz.

“He loves playing for his country and he gives everything. So the fact that an opportunity has come up and he’s coming back is something we’re excited about.”

Brockie has played 47 games for New Zealand since his debut in 2006, but has scored only one international goal for the All Whites.
