Ea Lla Koto were defeated by 1-0 at home by Maritzburg in a midweek Absa Premier League clash.

Solinas believes his men played well and did all that they could to win the match in their home game at the Goble Park.

“I’m proud of my team,” said Solinas. “The boys did well, but poor officiating cost us the match,” he told the club’s website.

“We should have had two penalties. They were not given. These things happen in football, so we move on.

“We dominated the match throughout but we were not clinical enough in front of goal. Maritzburg had one chance and they took it.

“We still have a lot to play for. The focus is now on our next match against Arrows and hopefully we can return to winning ways.”

Stars will be up against another KZN side in Golden Arrows on Saturday at the Chatsworth Stadium at 3pm.
